Verizon announces the availability of the Samsung Omnia II in its retail stores as of December 2nd, 2009, just in time for the Christmas Holiday Shopping. The Samsung Omnia II features a full touch 3.7-inch AMOLED responsive display with TouchWiz 2.0 user interface and has a 5.0 megapixel camera with flash, auto-focus and camcorder. There is also a virtual QWERTY keyboard with Swype technology which allows customers to input text faster and easier.

It also comes with a enhanced 3D cube user interface, WiFi 802.11 b/g Technology, shortcut widgets with one touch access to social networking sites, Opera 9.5 enhanced browser, Verizon Wireless services which includes V CAST Music with Rhapsody, V CAST Video on Demand, V CAST Song ID, Visual Voice Mail, VZW Tones, VZ NavigatorSM, Mobile IM and Mobile Email. The Verizon Samsung Omnia runs the Windows 6.5 Professional OS and will be available for $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate with a new two-year contract.
