Samsung announces a new Touchscreen Handset which is powered by the Android 2.1 OS. The Samsung SHW-M100S is the company’s first Android smartphone for South Korea. The M100S is powered by a 800MHz processor and runs the Android 2.1 OS. It gets a 3.7-inch AMOLED touchscreen display, a 5 Megapixel camera, GPS and WiFi 802.11n connectivity.

The handset also comes with an integrated T-DMB tuner and supports DivX video playback. The phone will be available in Korea in March on SK Telecom. This is probably the second phone for the Korean company, after Motorola’s MOTOROI.
