The Samsung Wave is called Samsung SHW-M120S in South Korea

It has been listed as “coming soon” on Vodafone’s Website and now the subscribers of South Korea will be experiencing the Samsung Bada OS for the first time with the South Korean Version of the Samsung Wave Smartphone, namely the Samsung SHW-M120S.

We are not sure if any new functions have been added or if it carries the same specs as the Wave, however we heard that it will have T-DMB, it is clear that Samsung wants to out their first bada device in most of the regions as soon as possible. It should be available via SKT soon.

Samsung Bada OS SDK now available to developers

Samsung Bada OS SDKSamsung has announced the availability of its SDK for developers who wish to offer games and other applications of the mobile OS. The SDK package includes several components such as an integrated development environment (IDE), Simulator, a manufacturer of user interface, sample applications, documentation and tutorials. It is also based on Eclipse CDT (C / C + + Development Tools) is a common development environment for many.

The Bada offers Adobe Flash support, a Webkit based browser and is a open platform.

Samsung Wave S8500 Hands-on Video

Today we have found a hands-on video from youtube on the Samsung Wave S8500 Mobile Phone. This is one of Samsung’s latest handsets and it comes boasting a 3.3-inch AMOLED touchscreen display and Samsung’s own Bada OS which is also backed by a TouchWiz 3.0 interface.

The Samsung Wave S8500 also uses a 1GHz CPU, which is probably Snapdragon processor and other specs which includes HSDPA and Wi-Fi b/g/n connectivity, a 3.5mm headset jack, DivX player, a 5MP Auto Focus camera with flash and 720p video recording, a 2GB of internal memory, and a MicroSD card slot. Samsung Bada Platform to be unveiled December 8th.

Samsung has announced the official released date of the Samsung Bada Platform with the invitations that was sent out to the press. The new mobile phone platform and its development kit will be unveiled for the first time at the upcoming public airing at an event in London on December 8th. An event will be aired in San Francisco after the debut in London.

Apart from unveiled the new Bada Platform the event will also see Samsung discuss its future mobile strategy. The first phone using bada won’t ship until the first half of 2010, it’s also rumored that it will instead be a software layer for development on top of another system, such as Linux, rather than a true foundation.

Samsung Bada Open Mobile Platform


Samsung Electronics has announced its own open mobile platform, called the bada, which means ‘ocean’ in Korean. This new addition to Samsung’s mobile ecosystem enables developers to create applications for millions of new Samsung mobile phones, and consumers to enjoy a fun and diverse mobile experience.

Samsung is going to unveils its bada SDK to developer in an official launch event in London, UK in December and a official website (www.bada.com) will open on November 10th and will feature a range of information on bada including updates on product launches, features, and event notices.
