Acer S100 Stream Android Phone Release date Announced

Acer has not announced any release date for its new Stream Android Phone, however UK e-tailer Expansys has listed the Acer Stream with a price tag of GBP399.99 and a release date of 4 August. The S100 Stream is the latest Android Handset announced by Acer, it is powered by an Intel SnapDragon 1GHz processor, 512MB RAM and 512MB ROM.

The handset features a 3.7-inch AMOLED multitouch screen, 5 Megapixel camera with 720p video recording, GPS/AGPS, Bluetooth, WiFi, DLNA and HDMI output. The Stream includes dedictaed media control buttons Dolby Mobile sound enhancement, and supports playback of XviD and WMV HD videos.

Acer Liquid E Smartphone out Officially in North America


Yesterday, Acer made the announcement that they are launching a special edition of its Liquid E Smartphone, the Liquid E Ferrari and today we got word that the company has made the Liquid E Smartphone official. The Liquid E was first showcased here some months back, it should be a popular choice of Android lovers since it runs the Android 2.1 Eclair OS.

Some notable specifications of the new Acer Smartphone includes a 3.5-inch WVGA Capacitive Touch Display, a 5 Megapixel AutoFocus Camera, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, HSDPA 7.2Mbps and powered by a Qualcomm 8250 SnapDragon Processor. The Acer Liquid E Android-Powered Smartphones are available for customers located in Canada through Rogers for $49.99 with a three-year contract.

Acer has announced a special edition of its Liquid E Smartphone dubbed the Liquid E Ferrari. The Ace Liquid E Ferrari Special Edition comes with a 3.5-inch Touchscreen Display, a 5-Megapixel Camera with Autofocus, Geotagging and Adjustable ISO. The handset will be powered by Google’s Android Eclair 2.1 and a 768 MHz Qualcomm SnapDragon 8250 Processor, it has a red glossy casing with gold trim and on the back is the Acer Liquid E Ferrari Special Edition Smartphone.

The Handset also comes with a chic Ferrari Case, Bluetooth Headset with Noise-Cancellation and some exclusive Ferrari Content including Images, WallPapers, Videos and a special set of ringtones which allows you to personalize the phone to sound like the Ferrari Engine.

Acer has rolled out a new android-powered handset dubbed the Stream. The Acer Stream comes with a 3.7-inch AMOLED touchscreen display, 512MB of RAM, a 1GHz Snapdragon processor and runs the Android 2.1 Eclair OS. There is also a 5 Megapixel Camera that can record 720p HD videos.

The handset is optimized for watching videos and also features am HDMI port which gives the ability to connect you handset to a much larger screen to enjoy your favorite videos. The handset comes with 2Gb of internal memory, microSD card support, HSDPA 7.2, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity plus integrated GPS System that allows photo and video geotagging.

Acer beTouch E110 approved by the FCC

Acer beTouch E110
The FCC has recently approved a new Smartphone which belongs to Acer, it is the beTouch E110 Smartphone. So far we know that the handset will feature a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen display and although an entry-level smartphone there is a social networking capability, Acer web widgets support, a 3.2-megapixel camera, GPS Navigation and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The new Acer beTouch E110 is powered by a 416MHz ST Ericsson PNX6715 processor, a 256MB ROM and 256MB of RAM. The handset is also compatible with AT&T’s 3G network (850 / 1900 MHz) so we can look forward to seeing it real soon here in the United States. In Europe, the Acer beTouch E110 should be available starting March.

Acer is at the MWC 2010 and they have announced the Liquid e Android Eclair 2.1 Smartphone which is an upgrade to the Acer Liquid. It is a minor upgrade which features a 5 Megapixel auto focus camera, GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi 802.11b/g, support for HSDPA 7.2Mbps and a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display.

It is powered by a Qualcomm SnapDragon processor running underclocked at 768MHz and is expected to start showing up from different carriers nationwide.

According to detail unvealed at Bluetooth SIG’s website, Acer seems to be coming with two new smartphones. The Acer P300 is Windows Mobile powered and E110 is a Android powered smartphone. Both phone come with support for quad-band GSM/EDGE and WCDMA/HSPA networks.

The Acer P300 features Bluetooth 2.0 and WiFi connectivity while the Acer E110 features supports for GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity. So we can expect to see these new Touchscreen handsets out soon.

Acer Liquid A1 Smartphone in Beijing

A few days ago Acer held an “Innovation Future” press conference in Beijing where they build a hype on the Acer Liquid A1 Smartphone and their brand new Android platform for smart phones – Liquid. The Acer features a 1GHz 768MHz Snapdragon processor and runs the more mature Android 1.6 rather than the newer Android 2.0.

The phone features a 3.5-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen, Wi-Fi b/g and Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, a 5-megapixel camera, HSDPA Connectivity and GPS Navigation. The Acer Liquid A1 is now up for pre-orders at a price of €379.99, which is approximately $570 US.
