In addition to the Defy Rugged Android Phone, Motorola will be releasing a Special Edition Clamshell Phone also, it is the Motorola i897 Ferrari Special Edition which is a Ferrari Official Licensed Product. The handset will feature Ferrari digital content such as branded skins and themes, wallpapers, video, ring tones and the Ferrari GT: Evolution game by Gameloft.

The handset will feature a 2.2-inch LCD display with a 320 x 240 resolution, a external 1.8-inch LCD display with a 128 x 160 resolution, a 2-megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom, dedicated music and video buttons, Bluetooth, Micro USB and a microSD memory card slot with a 2GB card in the box. The handset will be available in red and yellow, it is already available at Nextel Mexico and Brazil and will be available in red at Nextel Argentina in October.

Motorola is getting ready to release its new Defy Rugged Android Smartphone to the subscriber of Europe, the rugged Android-Powered Smartphone is waterproof, dustproof and scratch resistant meeting the IP67 standard. The Defy is powered by a 800MHz OMAP 3610 Processor backed by 512MB of RAM and Android 2.1 with MOTOBLUR UI.

The Rugged Smartie comes with a 3.7-inch capacitive touchscreen display that is made from Corning Gorilla Glass, there is a 5-Megapixel Camera with LED Flash, aGPS and GPS functions, Bluetooth Connectivity, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, DLNA support, CrystalTalk PLUS dual-mic noise reduction and has 2GB of Internal Storage. The Defy supports microSD/SDHC memory cards and will work on WCDMA/HSDPA 900/2100 and quad-band GSM/EDGE networks.

Telus Blackberry Torch 9800 coming September 24th For $199.99

Telus Canada has announced that they will start offering the new Blackberry Torch 9800 Slider Smartphone to their subscribers starting on September 24th for a price of $199.99. If you don’t remember from our previous post, the Torch 9800 runs the new Blackberry 6 OS and is also RIM’s first handset with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard but also features a touchscreen for finger navigation.

Telus will be offering the Smartphone with a 3-year contract, so soon the subscribers of Canada will be able to experience the new WebKit based browser and a whole lot more features that the Blackberry 6 Platform has to offer.

HTC 7 Trophy Windows Phone could be Coming Soon


The HTC Trophy was first announced back in December last year and was expected to surface in 2010 with the Windows Mobile 6.5 OS, unfortunately that did not happen, now we’re hearing that the Trophy may have been remade and renamed and will be running the Windows Phone 7 OS. The photo you see above is a mockup and not the real device, we strong believe that the device will feature quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE connectivity and dual-band UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA (900/2100 MHz) and the name clearly states it will be running the new Windows Mobile OS.

AT&T HTC F8181 aka Smart2 Smartphone coming soon

AT&T HTC F8181 aka Smart2 Smartphone coming soon
AT&T has an upcoming handset by the name of the HTC F8181 which is also known as the HTC Smart2 Smartphone. The Smart2 will be the second Brew-based phone from HTC, there is not much information on this device however it is expected to have Wi-Fi, Office Suite and HTC Sense.

It will probably have a QVGA display and could be available to AT&T customers by the end of 2010. In India, the Smart2 cost approximately $215 (free of contract), so it is assumed that its US price maybe way higher.

Today we have came upon some wonderful snapshots and videos of the upcoming Motorola XT300 Android slider with QWERTY keyboard. We can all say thanks to Chinese Android forum HiAPK.com for these photos and videos. The upcoming XT300 has a design that gives us flashbacks of Palms two previous phones, the Palm Pre and Palm Pre Plus. It has a rounded design and a vertical sliding QWERTY keyboard, there is a 2.8-inch 240×320 touchscreen, a 3.2-Megapixel camera, 3.5mm audio jack, micro USB port and there is a touch-pad on the back. The handset is powered by Qualcomm’s MSM7X25 Processor and runs the Android 2.1 OS with the MOTOBLUR UI.

The Motorola Milestone 2 is finally here

The Motorola Milestone 2 is finally here
Motorola has finally made its Milestone 2 Smartphone official. The new Android Smartphone is basically the international version of the Droid 2 which is headed to Verizon Wireless. The Milestone 2 is powered by 1GHz OMAP processor along with the new Android Froyo 2.2 with MOTOBLUR UI and 512MB of RAM. Like the Motorola Milestone, the Milestone 2 supports GSM/WCDMA 3G networks, it has an integrated WiFi hotspot function and a 3.7-inch capacitive touchscreen display.

Other notable specs are its sliding QWERTY keyboard, its 5-Megapixel Camera with dual LED flash and 720p HD video recording as well, there is Bluetooth connectivity, WiFi, DLNA Support, GPS Navigation, 8GB of internal storage and support for microSD/SDHC memory cards. The Motorola Milestone 2 will be available in Europe beginning Q4 2010.

Sony Ericsson A8i OPhone Smartphone for China's Market
Yesterday Sony Ericsson announced its new A8i OPhone Smartphone for China’s Market. Its the first smartphone to support China Mobile’s TD-SCDMA network, it also runs China Mobile’s Open Mobile System 2.0 (based on Android). The phone features a 3.5-inch touchscreen display with 854 x 480 pixels, 5-Megapixel Camcorder with LED Flash, CNMB mobile TV, WLAN, A-GPS, eCompass, TrackID, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headset jack, 200MB internal memory and support for microSD cards.

The Sony Ericsson A8i will be available for purchase starting the fourth quarter of the year, in black and white. There were no pricing information announced…
