Vodafone UK has announced that they are now taking pre-order for the new Samsung Galaxy S Smartphone. It runs the Android 2.1 OS and is available for free on a 2-year contract with monthly plans from 35 GBP. The handset will start shipping on June 15th, the Galaxy S features a 4-inch AMOLED touchscreen display with a 800×480 pixel resolution, it is powered by an 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor, a 5 Megapixel Camera with Autofocus, A-GPS, digital compass, WiFi, Bluetooth, 720p HD video recording (30fps), it has 16GB of Storage and a microSDHC card slot.

After its recent announcement of the Samsung S8500 Bada Wave coming soon, Vodafone UK has updated its press release to announce the launch date of the Bada-Powered Smartphone which is now scheduled to be available as of June 1st.

Just to overcome your curiosity, the Samsung S8500 runs Samsung’s Own Mobile OS and features a AMOLED touchscreen, a 1GHz processor, a 5 megapixel camera, WiFi and GPS Navigation. Vodafone is offering the Wave for free with a GBP25 two-year service agreement.

Vodafone UK has added the LG Viewty Smile GT400 to its catalog of available handsets. Vodafone UK subscribers can now get a LG GT400 Viewty Smile for free with a a plan of £10 per month. The Viewty Smile GT400 comes with a 3-inch touchscreen display with a 240×400 pixel resolution, GPS navigation, a 5 megapixel autofocus camera, 100MB of internal memory and a microSD card slot which support cards up to 16GB.

There is also Bluetooth connectivity, and application which grants access to social networking sites such as Facebook.

Vodafone UK will be offering the newly launched Nokia C3 Mobile Phone to its subscribers real soon. The new QWERTY Messaging phone features a 2.4-inch QVGA display, a 2-megapixel camera, social network functions, 55MB of internal memory, microSD card support up to 16GB and although it carries the “entry-level” tag, it also comes with WiFi connectivity.

It is a possibility that the Nokia C3 will be available by June for a price of less than £100 ($151) outside of a contract. The pricing is not official as yet so don’t get your hopes up just yet.

Vodafone UK has announced that it will begin selling its own branded Vodafone 845 Phone. The Voda 845 comes with a 2.8-inch touchscreen display, 500MB of memory and runs the Android 2.1 Eclair OS.

The Vodafone 845 will also come loaded with Vodafone’s software offerings including Vodafone 360 apps which includes the Vodafone Music and MyWeb services. The phone is presently listed on the company’s website as coming soon, Vodafone says it will be a low cost phone. Other notable specifications includes WiFi connectivity, Bluetooth, GPS Navigation, a 3.2 megapixel camera and 3G/HSDPA connectivity.
