The Motorola Droid Android 2.0 Phone is finally available at Verizon retailers across the United States. The Motorola Droid Smartphone is the first to be powered by Android 2.0 (Eclair) OS. As in our previos highlight, the Motorola Droid features a 3.7-inch Touchscreen display with a 854×480 resolution, a 5 Megapixel auto-focus camera with Dual LED flash, and a side-slide QWERTY keyboard.

As stated by engadget, the HTC desire will be marketed as the Droid Eris and will be released on 6 November while Motorola’s Droid will marketed simply as Droid. The HTC Droid Eris features a 3.2-inch touchscreen display, a 5 Megapixel camera, a microSD card slot and support for CDMA EVDO 3G.

Motorola Droid Android Smartphone

Motorola has announced the coming of another Android Powered Smartphone, the Motorola Droid, it may look familiar to you because it was first codenamed the “Sholes” and showcased here before. The Motorola Droid is powered by a Texas Instruments OMAP3430 550MHz processor, 256M RAM and a dedicated PowerVR GPU.

The Droid shows off a 3.7-inch Touchscreen display with a 854×480 display, a 5 Megapixel auto focus camera with dual LED flash, touch-sensitive buttons and a slide QWERTY Keyboard. The Motorola Droid supports CDMA Rev.A network (GSM/WCDMA will also available), GPS, WiFi and run the Android 2.0 OS. It will be released by Verizon Wireless in the US.
