MetroPCS will be offering the Samsung Craft r900 Mobile Phone to its customers soon, and we know this because some photos of the device were leaked recently. It will be the first 4G/LTE handset and it was first announced back in May but this is the first an image of the handset is seen by the public. The r900 will be launched as Samsung Craft, featuring a touchscreen display (probably WQVGA), TouchWiz UI, sliding 4-row QWERTY keyboard, and a 3.2MP autofocus camera with flash.

MetroPCS has announced the availability of Samsung’s new touchscreen smartphone, the Samsung Calibur R860 at its retail locations. The Samsung Calibur R860 comes equipped with a 3.2-inch WQVGA touchscreen display backed by Samsung’s TouchWiz UI, a 3 megapixel camera with LED flash, support for MicroSD cards up to 16GB, a full HTML web browser, GPS with MetroNavigator, email, social networking integration (Facebook, MySpace) and Bluetooth connectivity.

The 3.0 megapixel camera and camcorder is perfect for capturing images, while the stereo Bluetooth wireless technology and a speakerphone make hands-free communication effortless. The Samsung Calibur is now available at MetroPCS for $250 with no contract.

Kyocera Laylo And Domino now at MetroPCs

Kyocera Laylo And Domino
Kyocera announced that two of its mobile phones will be available through MetroPCs. First the Kyocera Laylo is a slider form phone which has a 2.2-inch high-resolution LCD display, a 1.3-megapixel camera, and a hidden vanity mirror while the Kyocera Domino features a candy-bar phone that shares the same platform as the Laylo.

Both handsets has the ability to run BREW-based apps, support WAP 2.0 browser, Bluetooth 2.0 and also comes bundled with MetroPCs features such as news, sports, email access, instant messaging, and contact management. The Kyocera Laylo is priced at $100 before rebate, while the Domino retails for $70 before rebate.

The Samsung Messenger II features a traditional numeric keypad, plus a slide-out QWERTY keyboard so dialing a number and writing a text message is as equally easy. There is a 2Megapixel camera which is capable of recording videos, it has EV-DO connectivity, Bluetooth and a web browser.

It also comes with Metro Social Apps which lets you keep connected to your friends on Facebook and Myspace plus a GPS-based social apps like metroNavigator and Loopt.

MetroPCS Announces Enhanced Services

Metro PCsMetroPCS Communications announces the addition of new features to its existing service plans that will save wireless customers even more money beginning August 1, 2009. The MetroPCS $40 plan will now include Unlimited Nationwide service for talk, text and MetroWEB (Data Plan), while their flagship $45 plan will now include unlimited email, navigation and social networking applications.

The $50 plan continues to offer smartphone users unlimited HTML Web browsing and enterprise wireless email while the $30 and $35 local unlimited plans will now offer caller ID and call waiting. Read the entire press release after the jump.
