MetroPCS gets the Samsung Calibur SCH-R860

MetroPCS has announced the availability of Samsung’s new touchscreen smartphone, the Samsung Calibur R860 at its retail locations. The Samsung Calibur R860 comes equipped with a 3.2-inch WQVGA touchscreen display backed by Samsung’s TouchWiz UI, a 3 megapixel camera with LED flash, support for MicroSD cards up to 16GB, a full HTML web browser, GPS with MetroNavigator, email, social networking integration (Facebook, MySpace) and Bluetooth connectivity.
The 3.0 megapixel camera and camcorder is perfect for capturing images, while the stereo Bluetooth wireless technology and a speakerphone make hands-free communication effortless. The Samsung Calibur is now available at MetroPCS for $250 with no contract.

MetroPCS Communications announces the addition of new features to its existing service plans that will save wireless customers even more money beginning August 1, 2009. The MetroPCS $40 plan will now include Unlimited Nationwide service for talk, text and MetroWEB (Data Plan), while their flagship $45 plan will now include unlimited email, navigation and social networking applications.
