Alltel Wireless customers just got the option to choose between four other Android-Powered Smartphones, the new smartphones includes the LG Axis, <a href="http://www.loopycellphones.com/samsung-gem-sch-i100-entry-level-android-smartphone/">Samsung Gem</a>, <a href="http://www.loopycellphones.com/alltel-to-get-the-htc-merge-cdma-android-smartphone/">HTC Merge</a>, and Motorola Milestone X Smartphone. Firstly there is the LG Axis which is the carriers version of the <a href="http://www.loopycellphones.com/lg-ally-side-slide-qwerty-phone-pre-order-starts-may-13th/">LG Ally</a> that comes with a 3.2-inch touchscreen display, Bluetooth, GPS and WiFi, the HTC Merge that runs the Android 2.2 with HTC Sense UI, the Samsung Gem that is an entry-level Android Smartphone that runs the Android 2.1 with a TouchWiz UI and the Motorola Milestone X which is the global version of the <a href="http://www.loopycellphones.com/rumor-motorola-droid-x-getting-android-2-3-gingerbread-update-this-weekend/">Motorila Droid X</a>. </p>

Alltel is the first carrier to announce that they will be getting the new CMDA Android Smartphone, the HTC Merge. It is HTC&#8217;s first globally capable CDMA Smartphone, it runs the Android 2.2 Froyo and features a 3.8-inch touchscreen display with a slide-out QWERTY keypad in a landscape form, there is a 5-megapixel camera that is capable of recording 720p videos. The HTC Merge supports both CDMA and GSM networks so we should see it popping up on major carriers all over the globe soon. Alltel will be selling the HTC Merge for a price of $124.99 after rebates and customers can start pre-orders on March 28.</p>
