In addition to the Xperia L Smartphone, Sony also announced the new Xperia SP which is an high-end smartphone when compared to the Xperia L. It features a 4.6-inch 720p display with Sony’s Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2 which allows the screen to automatically adjusts based on what it displays – text, video, etc.
The Xperia SP is also powered by a 1.7GHz Qualcomm MSM8960Pro Dual Core processor with 8GB of built-in storage plus a microSD card slot that supports memory cards up to 32GB. The handset also features an 8-megapixel camera with 16x digital zoom, autofocus, face detection, and LED flash, plus a front-facing VGA camera.
It features a slew of connectivity options including Bluetooth stereo with A2DP, Bluetooth 4.0, DLNA Media Sharing, GLONASS, MHL support, Micro USB support, Native USB tethering, aGPS and Near Field Communication. Sony has confirmed that the Xperia SP will be available in red, black, and white color options over the next three month period.
