Verizon Motorola Droid Android 2.0 Phone Now Official

The Motorola Droid Android 2.0 Phone is finally available at Verizon retailers across the United States. The Motorola Droid Smartphone is the first to be powered by Android 2.0 (Eclair) OS. As in our previos highlight, the Motorola Droid features a 3.7-inch Touchscreen display with a 854×480 resolution, a 5 Megapixel auto-focus camera with Dual LED flash, and a side-slide QWERTY keyboard.
It supports GPS/A-GPS, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR and WiFi 802.11b/g connectivity. The Android smartphone includes Google Mobile Services, including the latest Google Map Navigation Beta application. The DROID is equipped with Accelerometer, Proximity sensor, ambient light sensor as well as eCompass.
It will be available on 6 November for $199 after a $100 mail-in rebate) with 2-year contract.
